Train Me

If you want to know how well you are doing, take a lesson, ask your instructor. You are never to old or too experienced to benefit from someone else's knowledge of snowboarding.

The pros have coaches to watch and critique them, why shouldn't you? Most snowboard and ski resorts offer package lift ticket and lesson deals. Take advantage of them.

Tell Me

Your best resource for deciding what snowboard to buy is the experienced and trained tech at your local shop. They will be able to talk to you, assess your goals, level, height, weight, and other important aspects of your boarding better than a book, the internet, or a how-to snowboarding video. All of these media are useful, but there is no substitute for real person-to-person contact with a trained professional.

Facts and Fun

A Snowboard DVD can be useful for instructional purposes, and they can be entertaining. Watch a snowboarding movie of the pros or let the pros teach you how find a rhythm, heel slide, adjust to different terrain, or take a jump.

Whatever your goal, there is a snowboard movie out there for you. With snowboarding's increasing popularity is coming more resources and entertainment guides. Go with it.
